New season sneak peek AW20

Is it just me or does it feel like about a decade since we last had a new season sneak peek? When we did our last one back in February we were oblivious to the oncoming Covid-storm, and had no idea that over the coming season we'd run the roller coaster of wondering whether there would even be a Kettlewell Colours in September, cancelling our high summer collection plans, quietly regaining confidence as our incredible customers continued to support us, and eventually gathering the confidence to launch an Autumn/Winter collection which is almost indistinguishable in size and colour range from our usual September offering.

As a result, I am even more thrilled than usual to be able to share this new season sneak peek with you, and to be able to confirm that new season products will be available to order from 2nd September. Alongside new colours and new styles, there is a good dose of the Kettlewell favourites you've loved for season after season.

As always, I could have picked a dozen or more favourites, but I've limited myself to a mere five pieces from the new collection, and I can't wait for you to see the entire collection in less than a fortnight!

Long Sleeve Faux Wrap

Our 3/4 Sleeve Faux Wrap is such a favourite, and a cold-weather option has been in hot demand, so we've produced a long sleeved version of this bestseller. I love how simple yet flattering this one is - add a camisole underneath for an extra pop of colour, or wear it alone for a more va va voom look, and the flattering ruching will give you the waist of your dreams. In short, the Long Sleeve Faux Wrap truly is one of those day to night pieces that won't let you down.

Lucy Leopard Dress

I think this might be my single favourite piece from the new collection. Effortless to wear thanks to the lumps-and-bumps-camouflaging leopard print and flattering waist pleats, while the high neckline and cut keep it feeling modern and fresh. Opaques, ankle boots and this dress are going to be my uniform of the season.

Evie Sweater

This is the easiest sweater you're going to wear this winter. This boxy V-neck knit has ribbed details, split hem and dropped shoulders. The relaxed fit is perfect for disguising any post-lockdown problem areas and the heavy gauge merino wool is super cosy. I particularly love the rainbow of colours we've achieved for our knitwear this year!

Emma is wearing a Blossom Evie Sweater with a Silver Feather Necklace.

Aurelia Long Cardigan

This was another hot contender for 'Jo's favourite piece of the season' - I love the elegant simplicity of this longline, minimalist pure merino wool cardigan. But if this isn't the right cardigan for you (if, for instance, you're curvier or prefer something a little chunkier) then panic not - the range of cardigans, coatigans and classic jersey wraps this season is better than ever before so you're guaranteed to find the right one for you.

Hannah is wearing the Aurelia Cardigan in Ultra Violet with Semi Scoop ¾ in Cobalt Blue, a Poppy Classic Metallic Belt (new) and a Gold Wing Necklace

Palazzo Pants

I cannot wait for you to try these. With the rise and rise of working from home, clothes that feel as luxurious as they look are the order of the day, and these Palazzo Pants fit the bill perfectly. Smart enough to wear with a Zoom-meeting-worthy top, but as comfortable as your favourite pyjamas, I guarantee it will be love at first sight with these wide legged, roll top waistband Palazzo Pants.

Fabulous, so exciting. Thank you KW for all your hard work in these uncertain times. A wonderful looking collection. Any merino cardigans coming? Helen x

Bea on Aug 29, 2020 11:49 PM

Will you be doing Cara V neck T-shirt’s again? I absolutely love them.

Gillian Glanville on Aug 27, 2020 7:47 AM

Will you be having new colours for the silky scoop neck top?

Kettlewell Colours: Yes we will!

Caroline jane Smith on Aug 26, 2020 8:09 PM

Wonderful. I cannot wait. So glad you survived to brighten up our days

Love the Evie sweater, faux crossover and palazzo.

Will you have the merino crossovers and the maxi skirts?

Kettlewell Colours: Yes we will!

stellatagg on Aug 24, 2020 12:48 PM

love the peek view cant wait to see the rest lovely items

Beverley on Aug 23, 2020 8:19 PM

Wow... Think Evie sweater looks fab and will go with my new pine skirt. Cant wait for September!

Catherine Smith on Aug 23, 2020 3:40 PM

Delighted that the faux wrap top will be available with long sleeves - this will make it a proper autumn/winter top. The beetroot colour looks gorgeous! I also loved the look of the palazzo pants, but echo Carol's plea for Kettlewell to offer trousers in different lengths. They look lovely on your tall models, but for anyone under 5 ft 8 (unless they are blessed with long legs - I'm not) they are an inch or two too long, which is a shame. Suggest trying a season where you offer 2 lengths and see what happens?

Judy Starling on Aug 23, 2020 12:13 PM

I can see it's going to be a Kettlewell September! Can't wait!

Alison on Aug 23, 2020 10:52 AM

So looking forward to buying the violet long sleeve faux wrap... I have several of these and love them, but violet is my double star colour so it will be perfect!

Pat Parrott on Aug 23, 2020 9:56 AM

Looking forward to Autumn selection I have been waiting and watching for the masks in August and somehow missed them how can I make sure i get one in Sept?

Kettlewell Colours: They were slightly delayed so will be with us early September :-)

Wendy on Aug 23, 2020 8:04 AM

Thank you for the long sleeve wrap, my arms are too long for 3/4. The. Palazzo pants too, I see an outfit here.

Nancy on Aug 22, 2020 10:48 PM

Please can you offer trousers in different lengths. At 5 foot four inches, your palazzo pants look to be way too long for us petite ladies and stretch fabric is not suitable for shortening on a domestic sewing machine. Would buy several different colours if only the length was right.

Rosie Skaife on Aug 22, 2020 9:44 PM

Looking good. I am hoping this season there will be trousers in size 6 for a change. There are plenty of us petite women out there!

Heidi on Aug 22, 2020 9:42 PM

Well done Melissa and all your team for keeping going . Can’t wait to order from new collection best company for stylish ,great quality. Colourful clothes .

Laura on Aug 22, 2020 7:40 PM

Oooh Pine Green (and Dark Emerald!) - I cannot wait, especially if one of your pine green offerings will be a pure merino wool cardigan! I love the merino wool (or pure cotton/linen, for that matter!) that you do at Kettlewell. Pine green and dark emerald are my favourite Sultry Winter greens. Thank you, Kettlewell!

Hilary Ball on Aug 22, 2020 7:22 PM

Looking good.

Lucy Smith on Aug 22, 2020 5:06 PM

This all looks wonderful, thank you to everyone for making it happen!

Brenda Dennison on Aug 22, 2020 4:51 PM

Love long sleeve faux wrap, when will it be available?

Kettlewell Colours: Next week! :-)

Lynne on Aug 22, 2020 4:13 PM

So excited, everything looks so tempting. Hoping pallazos suit me. Not very tall.

Carol Shaw on Aug 22, 2020 3:38 PM

Please can you make shorter lengths in your trousers. My machine does not cope with overlock on jersey.

Debbie on Aug 22, 2020 2:42 PM

The faux wrap in golden yellow. I love them, so flattering. I have bought x2 of the 3/4 sleeve versions this year. I also love the semi scoops and look forward to the new colours for us Autumns :)

Sheila Sadler on Aug 22, 2020 1:30 PM

Looking forward to seeing full collection in September. Very exciting as I love you're range and best of all you're colours.

Christine on Aug 22, 2020 12:10 PM

I love the long sleeve faux wrap, I would really go for that in cornflower blue

Wendy Elias on Aug 22, 2020 11:38 AM

What is the fabric for the Palazzo pants?

Kettlewell Colours: They are stretch viscose jersey.

Hettie on Aug 22, 2020 11:34 AM

I was feeling a bit uncertain about the new season - wrapovers and leopard print aren't me - but then you hit us with the jumper, the long cardi and the palazzo pants and I'm back in my KW happy place! Look forward to branching out into more colours, finances permitting.

Anita Yorke on Aug 22, 2020 11:05 AM

I can't wait to see the rest of the collection. I like to browse through the catalogue but find it arrives in the post some time after the clothes are available. Will use online.

Lesley on Aug 22, 2020 10:47 AM

Great to see a preview of the new collection! Times have been and continue to be hard for everyone but I’ve really enjoyed spending some time browsing the ‘‘Kettlewell Colours’ website experience & blog (don’t do FB) over the months & have been delighted with my purchases to date. Keep shining a light on colour! Thank you.

Karen Heggs on Aug 22, 2020 10:25 AM

Looking great!

But please tell me that we are getting the City Poncho, and new colours in the Merino Scarf????

Kettlewell Colours: No City Ponchos I'm afraid but lots of Merino Infinity colours :-)

Jacqui Hollingsworth on Aug 22, 2020 9:09 AM

Fantastic hoping the palazzo pants are not to long.... If so off to my tailors lol

Stephanie Leon on Aug 22, 2020 8:39 AM

I love your site. are you doing masks again?

Kettlewell Colours: Yes they will be here early September

Stephanie Leon on Aug 22, 2020 8:34 AM

I love your site

Hilary Henry on Aug 22, 2020 8:23 AM

Disappointing preview of new season. According to my colour consultations, originally in the 90s and recently updated in 2018, my most flattering colours are turquoise and teal shades. These colours also seem popular with many people. Why are you offering increasingly fewer products in these colours?

Diane on Aug 22, 2020 8:17 AM

I’m so excited. I need a treat and am really looking forward to seeing the whole collection

Darina Regan on Aug 22, 2020 7:58 AM

Sooooo excited

Jo Franklin on Aug 21, 2020 5:08 PM

All lovely 😊 but very sad not to see any Olive in the Palazzo pants & Faux wrap! 😟
