New season sneak peek!

Autumn is definitely my favourite season of the year, and it's also my very favourite shopping season - cosy knits, layers, texture and all those brand new colours for every seasonal palette. Our Early Autumn '19 collection will be landing very soon and, as always, I am so excited to start sharing my very favourite pieces from the new collection. There are some absolutely beautiful new styles winging their way from our factories to Kettlewell HQ as I type, and we can't wait to get the boxes unloaded and the warehouse filled up ready for you to begin creating your perfect autumn wardrobe filled with colour.

As well as all the exciting new styles, plenty of old favourites are also coming back in glorious new colours, including my personal favourites, the Hetta Long Tee and the Lulu Layered Top. I'll come back to those favourites soon, but this week I'm going to give you a special sneak preview of five of my absolute favourite new styles to whet your appetite for what's to come.

Ziggy Sweater

The slightly retro fit of this sweater is right on trend for this season, but still timeless enough to work year after year. The loose blouson fit skims neatly over your tummy while flattering your bottom and legs (especially if you keep the bottom half of your outfit fitted), and the bracelet length sleeves are slimming and easy to wear - scrunch them up or down according to your own personal style, and layer over long vests and long sleeved tops as the weather gets cooler.

Vine Print Wrap Dress

I am so in love with this print, which works to camouflage and flatter beautifully in every single seasonally coded colourway. Sophisticated and elegant without being too staid, this dress really is a do-everything, go-anywhere garment which will become an instant wardrobe hero. Pair it with smart shoes and a blazer for work, flat suede boots and knitwear for weekend chic, or dress up with courts and a faux fur stole for winter wedding glamour.

Amelia Blouse

Guaranteed to be your go to colour pop for this season, the simple but stylish print of this blouse makes it an effortless way to inject a bit of colour into your outfit without feeling too overwhelmed. Pair it with a skirt and ankle boots for smarter looks or jeans and a casual jacket, like our beloved Roxy Shirt Jacket, for an easy weekend outfit.

Georgia Swing Top

Officially the easiest top you're going to wear this winter. The boat neck flatters a huge range of face and body shapes, while the gentle fit and flare shape skims tummy and bum without drowning you in fabric. Pair it with jeans and leggings for a classic look, or go bold with our new leopard print leggings! I foresee a lot of cosy evenings in front of the fire with this top and a pair of comfy jersey trousers.

Crushed Velvet Blazer

Laid back luxe at its very best, this crushed velvet blazer will elevate every single look you pair it with this autumn and winter. The cascade front keeps it casual, while the gorgeous velvet feels expensive, and the colours are beyond divine, rich and sumptuous in every palette. Elevate jeans and a tee for an evening out or pair it with your favourite party outfit for full on luxury. (And as an added bonus, there are matching wide leg trousers and a scarf).

I've been reading all the responses to the new collection and feel a bit sorry for the wonderful Kettlewell team! Your USP is colour and you can't be expected to be everything to everybody. Your customers must be all ages and shapes and yet you do a very good job. There are great basics for everyone but otherwise we all have to choose what suits us. I know to avoid short and frilly, but have 5 maxi skirts and lots of lovely knitwear. You give really good colour and style advice and your pricing is exactly right without sacrificing quality and ethical production. Please don't. People mention M & S for different sizes and styles - not a great role model these days! I'm so glad I found Kettlewell. You've provided a great, middle-market, quality product and introduced fabulous, flattering colours into our wardrobes. I'd be really sorry if you tried to please everyone and lost your way.

Kettlewell Colours: Thank you so much - you've made our day!

Barbara on Aug 30, 2019 10:24 PM

I was hoping for more Merino knitwear. The crossover jumper doesn't sit right on me so I would like to have seen a v neck jumper or cardigan and perhaps a Milan style crew neck cardigan in pure merino.

Michelle on Aug 30, 2019 7:03 PM

Love the new collection. However, echoing a couple of others posters, at some point in the future can we please have some more of the midi ruched skirt and also the mandarin jersey shirt (especially the shirt - I've only got it in one colour as I'm fairly new to Kettlewell and so missed my chance at nabbing other colours - but absolutely love the shirt). Finally, can we please have petite sizes? Thanks

Rita on Aug 30, 2019 5:23 PM

Hello, I agree with Judith, please remember us taller ladies and introduce a tall line. If it's not an option for everything, maybe just longer length trousers to begin with. 31" is no good for us taller ladies, full length needs to be at least 34". Thank you!

Maria on Aug 30, 2019 3:26 PM

There doesn't appear to be a Kylie skirt in an autumn colourway?

Kettlewell Colours: Unfortunately the skirt only came in two colour options and we didn't feel either were suitable for Autumns. They were just extra pieces we bought for styling purposes which is why we say they are a limited edition.

Aleks on Aug 29, 2019 11:23 AM

Can you please let me know if there will be new colours in the Mid Cascade Long Sleeve? The new Long Wrap Cardigan might be too long for me. I'm 5'4. Thank you

Kettlewell Colours: We have restocked a few colours, black, navy, pansy and true red and we also have the Shawl Wrap which is a similar weight in 10 colours.

Liz Prince on Aug 29, 2019 8:51 AM

I love the new range so far, my only complaint is the length of some of the tops being quite short, the Amelia blouse doesn’t look long enough in the body for me at all 😕 I have the same problem with the T-shirt’s. Love three quarter sleeves, the most flattering for me! Thanks for keeping me colourful x

Susan on Aug 28, 2019 6:53 PM

Can I disagree with Karen's request for more "bling"? If a wearer wants to bling a garment or outfit up they can easily do it themself with accessories. Plain, well cut clothes in good fabrics are much more versatile and less likely to date.

JUDITH on Aug 28, 2019 6:19 PM

I am almost 6ft. Lots of tall ladies around, yet choice is extremely limited, as shorter ladies find too. Adjusting the hem length to clothing is not always sufficient for a good fit. It would be lovely if you could introduce some `Long` & `Short` items. Because Kettlewell do the most amazing colours which we are bursting to wear and that we know will suit us after we`ve had our colours done.

Terese on Aug 28, 2019 3:01 PM

When will the new collection be coming out?

Kettlewell Colours: Today!

Lynn Pascoe on Aug 28, 2019 12:17 PM

Love the new styles but agree, petite would be wonderful and keep the 3/4 sleeves for us short armed people and a XLL would be appreciated for us more curvy girls

Karen on Aug 27, 2019 11:01 PM

I would love to see a little bit of bling on your tops,

Round the neck line, on the sleeve, anywhere really

Anna on Aug 27, 2019 10:57 PM

More 3/4 sleeves please! I hope you will one day introduce 3 lengths - it seems to have worked wonders for Boden. I am 5'1" and a curvy small to medium. Skirts tops leggings and dresses all work better in petite and where I look first each season is precis and other brands that do petite. Colours are great but I take what I can find in styles that will fit. Your short ruched skirts are wonderful though!

Caroline on Aug 27, 2019 6:49 PM

Please don't do what someone else asked and get rid of 3/4 length sleeves! I have short ish arms for my height and 3/4 sleeves make my arms look longer!

Jane on Aug 27, 2019 1:55 PM

Looking forward to seeing the new colours in the Hetta long tee as it’s one of the few styles long enough in the body for me. Fingers crossed for some lovely Autumn shades!

Gill Redford on Aug 27, 2019 12:19 PM

The new season is looking great. I hope there are lots of natural fabrics as the synthetic ones play havoc with my hot flushes and prevent me buying certain garments.

Valerie Emberson on Aug 27, 2019 12:12 PM

Can't wait. I'm already hoping the vine dress and velvet blazer come in at least one summer colour.

Gill on Aug 27, 2019 11:01 AM

I echo many other comments - I'm 5'2" and short bodied. Everything is too long and necks too low and gaping, even camis. Not everyone is slim and straight up and down. Love how the models look and all the colours but find being a Spring very difficult.

Sandra on Aug 27, 2019 9:12 AM

Hope there are plenty of the Lauren jersey trousers in LL as missed out on colours last time as they sold out so soon. Also midi skirts and dresses as most of them are bit short for me

Lynne Sprague on Aug 26, 2019 9:12 PM

Cant wait for the whole collection! I so hope there is some non-wool knitwear and some non-cling tops!!

Gill Johnson on Aug 26, 2019 8:58 PM

Love the ziggy sweater, but the big disappointment is, unless you are 5’8”, it won’t flatter at all!

Let’s have some lengths that are suitable for us shorter ladies please. I’d have bought so much off you by now if that had have been the case.

Eileen on Aug 26, 2019 8:42 PM

I'm new to Kettlewell. Would you be able to let me know how much of your SS19 products will continue through to AW19? For example your silky roll neck and t-shirts?

Kettlewell Colours: Hi Eilleen, we do all the basics such as Silky Roll Necks every season and we generally introduce new colours.

Barbara Jenkins on Aug 26, 2019 8:39 PM

Will the Georgia swing top be in aqua

Kettlewell Colours: Hi Barbara, afraid not - Dark Olive, Marine Navy, Navy, True Red, Bright Navy and Blackberry. However we are doing a similar Merino version called the Jenna Tunic which does come in Light Turquoise which you might like.

Jenny Fletcher on Aug 26, 2019 5:51 PM

I'm 5'2" tall, long-waisted and my thighs are larger than my hips. I'm hoping you will have a ziggy sweater in a shorter length with hem at my hips.

Catherine Hitchin on Aug 26, 2019 4:07 PM

Hi there,

Just thought I ask if you’re planning to launch any shimmering top or dress for the year end festive season.

Kettlewell Colours: You will be pleased to hear we do have a couple of Shimmer Tops in the new range :-)

Eileen Mitchell on Aug 26, 2019 4:02 PM

Blackberry. Yippee!!! My favourite colour - and my favourite top!

Glynis Leyland on Aug 26, 2019 3:53 PM

Looking good...seems like there may be a few more patterns and textured fabrics along with the plain colours. I approve.

Mrs C Hill on Aug 26, 2019 3:48 PM

I love the colours of the red Amelia blouse shown and the blue crushed velvet blazer

- will put on my wish list when available for purchase

Lynne Tymms on Aug 26, 2019 3:27 PM

Looking forward to purchasing two of the tops updating my autumn/winter wardrobe.

Suzanne Clarke on Aug 26, 2019 2:40 PM

Please e mail me info re crushed velvet jacket and trousers. Very interested.

Kettlewell Colours: They will be available to buy on the website as soon as the new season is launched this weekend :-)

Moira Mears on Aug 26, 2019 1:04 PM

Annoying to get email for "autumn" & not having access to see the preview products online !!???

Kettlewell Colours: This was just a 'taster' blog post, they will be available to buy on the website this weekend.

Marianne Cotterill on Aug 26, 2019 12:50 PM

I was wondering if you will bring out some more midi ruched skirts as they are so flattering and incredibly useful? I bought one in fig a few years ago and cherish it. And in some neutral greens would be wonderful!! 😊

Kettlewell Colours: Will pass your request on to the Design team :-)

Carolyne Freeman on Aug 26, 2019 12:50 PM

Love the crushed velvet blazer

Nadine Randall on Aug 26, 2019 12:20 PM

Lovely! Can’t wait to see the rest of the collection.

Joyce Ricketts on Aug 26, 2019 12:18 PM

Im loving the look of the ziggy sweater look forward to seeing what colours are available.

Carol McLeod on Aug 26, 2019 12:11 PM

Very excited to see the AW collection. I love the shade of that purple crushed velvet jacket! Hope you are planning to bring back the long merino cardigans you had a couple of years ago (if too late for this year then please consider for next year). I've worn my red one constantly at home and socially, and even in 'smart casual' business situations and it's been an absolute winner. I'd like to replace it before it wears out!

Dilys Ball on Aug 26, 2019 12:10 PM

Love the ziggy sweaters

Julia Charnock on Aug 26, 2019 11:48 AM

These look incredible, well done Kettlewell. Fingers crossed that the dress comes in a colourway to suit classic summer as the red/navy combination and pale grey turquoise were just too extreme for me. Looking forward to some velvet for this Christmas - cosy and strokeable :-)

Olwen on Aug 26, 2019 11:22 AM

Looking forward to colour updates in the shorter length camisoles. 1970's when you had to be stick thin, and fashion reflected it ..... Some nice colours and will be interested to see the Summer versions of the dress and the velvet jacket.

Rita Bishop on Aug 26, 2019 11:17 AM

Like the look of the velvet jacket

Louisa on Aug 26, 2019 11:17 AM

Can't wait to see all the colours for the Ziggy sweater and the swing top.

Annie Evans on Aug 26, 2019 10:32 AM

I LOVE the Georgia swing top and scarf. Will buy asap.

Janet on Aug 26, 2019 10:24 AM

Love the looks, hope there are plenty of spring colours. Springs struggle in the winter to get choice. Have so much red in the winter.

Helen walton on Aug 26, 2019 10:19 AM

I do love the look of your dresses but as someone who is 5ft 2 they are all way too long. Shorter lengths would be great ( and for your trousers too)

Alison Millar on Aug 26, 2019 10:12 AM

The crushed velvet blazer looks stunning! Can see this being so versatile in terms of styling yet always a joy to wear . Cannot wait to see what colours it is available in !!

Diane Leahy on Aug 26, 2019 10:10 AM

When are you going to get the long wrap cardigan back in stock, I’ve been waiting months?10

Jilly Scriven on Aug 26, 2019 9:42 AM

Vine print wrap dress- 1) lovely style & great colour 2) is a little too short .. midi length is more fashionable and flattering (on slightly older woman). Or please offer midi and just on knee ... ???

Sue Conway on Aug 26, 2019 9:40 AM

Bring it on!

Paula on Aug 26, 2019 9:38 AM

Will you be getting the lovely Lauren Jersey trousers back this season

Kettlewell Colours: Yes we will!

Caroline Greenhalgh on Aug 26, 2019 9:05 AM

All looks lovely 😍

Penny on Aug 26, 2019 9:01 AM

Love it!

Heidi on Aug 26, 2019 9:01 AM

I have been waiting for this email as I love autumn /winter season clothes the best. I can’t wait to see new range thanks for preview.

Anna-Rose Phipps on Aug 26, 2019 8:48 AM

Still waiting for lace trim camisole top in navy xs. It's been out of stock for ages

Kettlewell Colours: It has been reordered and should be with us next week!

Barbara Hodgson on Aug 26, 2019 8:46 AM

Hello! Love the look of these. Please, please are you going to be doing a midi cascade wrap or similar in lovely blues/greens for Winter people? And if so, PLEASE can you have plenty of stock of LL size... I'm addicted to the ones I have thus far & am waiting with baited breath for another version to appear!

Lin on Aug 26, 2019 8:42 AM

No v neck jumpers?

Kettlewell Colours: The Merino Crossover is effectively a V Neck

Mrs Angela Mawby on Aug 26, 2019 8:34 AM

Please make Joanna type dress with a scoop neck and three-quarter length sleeves in a variety of colours. Many thanks Angie

Sheila Wilkins on Aug 26, 2019 8:28 AM

Love the velvet jacket and might be tempted to buy one if not too expensive

Patricia on Aug 26, 2019 8:24 AM

They all look fabulous, but I wish you would cater for the petite lady!

Liz lyciit on Aug 26, 2019 8:23 AM

Loving the look of all these autumn clothes... gorgeous styles and colours

Dawn Furze on Aug 26, 2019 8:16 AM

Fed up with seeing ALL your models so very thin and tall. More realistically sized models urgently required!

Carolyn Reuben on Aug 26, 2019 8:10 AM

Love the jumper. Love the shape of dress but pattern/colour combo doesn’t work for me. Tend to find your patterns, particularly flower patterns, too outdated in autumn colours. Often fine in other seasons. Really don’t like the Amelie blouse nor the crushed velvet jacket.

Sylvia on Aug 26, 2019 8:10 AM

Love all the new designs

Ann on Aug 26, 2019 8:07 AM

Kathy on Aug 25, 2019 10:43 PM

I’ve been waiting impatiently for the first hint of the new season, and now I can’t wait to see more of the autumn collection. I particularly like the look of the vine print dress and the Georgia swing top—-and it looks as if you may be making a leopard print infinity scarf, which would be brilliant!

Judith Wanliss-Orlebar on Aug 25, 2019 1:28 PM

Love the purple sweater - my favourite colour

Luce on Aug 24, 2019 10:52 PM

Did someone mention leopard print leggings? I'm in!! Fantastic. Also Ziggy Sweater and Vine Print Wrap Dress are on my 'must have' list. What is the earliest date these will be available? 😝

Kettlewell Colours: This weekend!

Aga Gaska on Aug 23, 2019 8:33 PM

More different styles, everything seems so similar every year, I can't wear any of your dresses because of decolage, more clothes for small girls.

Anne on Aug 23, 2019 4:27 PM

Love the look of the Ziggy sweater, hope it's affordable :-)

Anne Thomas on Aug 23, 2019 3:48 PM

No more 3/4 length sleeves please!!! longer body length
