Jo styles the SALE!
There are many, many things I miss about 'normal' life, but in-person sales shopping is not one of them - the jostling, the jumble sale feel. Nope, give me online sale shopping any day of the week. Which is why I am thrilled to announce that the Kettlewell Colours January sale (and it's a real January sale, in January and everything!) is now LIVE, and I've rounded up a few of my absolute favourites from this year's selection.
1 Faux-fur Gilet
Even down in South Devon, the January weather is bitter this year, so I dread to think how chilly it is further north, or in countries whose winters get rather more frosty than our own! The Faux Fur Gilet is simply the best way to stay cosy without sacrificing one single iota of style - layer it up over literally anything, and it adds a glamorous finishing touch and keeps your torso warm. The Gilet is especially brilliant if you have a smaller torso as it fastens neatly and balances out your proportions. For those larger chested ladies, I would advise wearing it open or sizing up.
2 Floral Wrap Top
A super transitional piece, simply layer the Floral Wrap Top over a Silky Roll Neck or Scoop Neck while it’s chilly (and add a Gilet or Wrap over the top) – pick out colours from the print for an effortless co-ordinated look or add contrast for a contemporary look. Then, as the temperature rises, shed the outer and base layers to let this delicately pretty piece, in all your best seasonal colours, do the talking.
3 Sienna Leggings
We understand – the festive period has passed, layered on top of a year when we frequently had little reason to leave the house. Leggings are a friend to all of us right now. But our textured and tailored Sienna Leggings elevate your look about a million notches from the usual saggy cotton effort. Pair your Siennas with any of our longline tops – Georgia Swing Top, Leopard Ponte Tunic, Ziggy Sweater, to name but a few – for the easiest and most stylish relaxed look of the year.
4 Lottie Dress
One of my personal favourites from the A/W collection, the Lottie Dress is a hugely versatile neutral (in style terms, rather than colour) pieces that can be styled in dozens of different ways. Add a Faux Fur Gilet or Vintage Collar and heels for a more formal look, or contrasting colour block tights and ankle boots for a funky laid back feel. Add a Rachel Jacket for a stylish but casual look.
5 Verity Lace Blouse
We're back to Zoom meetings and family gatherings with a vengeance, and I love a blouse for looking slightly more pulled together than a simple tee, with minimal effort. Pair the Verity with a matching or tonal camisole for a pared back, elegant look, or go for a pop of colour underneath for something more eye catching. For those times when you also need to dress your bottom half (it's possible we'll leave the house at some stage, after all!) I love the Verity Blouse paired with jeans for an upmarket casual look, or with a Maxi Skirt for an elegant feel. Try wearing open as a jacket over a Silky Scoop.
