It's sorbet season!
The fashion world feels like an explosion of colour this spring/summer, but there's a colour trend rising head and shoulders above the rest; sorbet shades. Worn loud and proud, and often in combination with one another, these shades show that pale colours can be fab rather than drab.
And the best bit is that there's a sorbet shade for everyone. No matter what your skintone, there's a sorbet shade that will work for you. I've divided the outfits below into seasonal colour palettes - if you're not sure which one is right for you, why not start with our colour quiz to get you on the path to true colour confidence?
The Amy linen top is the perfect relaxed summer tee, and becomes a high impact look when paired with light and clear Acid Yellow and Snow White.
I've styled Primrose for Springs with Lemonade trousers, but Primrose would work just as well with neutral light grey for a cool toned or less bold look.
Keep your sorbet cool (toned) with a classic combination of pink, navy and white.
I've softened off bold Hawaii to make it suitable for soft, cool toned Summers, but Springs will want to add in a little warmth and contrast (soft white or a golden yellow would add the perfect lift).
If you think that as an Autumn your colours are too soft for sorbet, think again. This simple but elegant combination works equally well on Springs.
The Peach Cotton Rib Bolero shows off this gorgeous soft shade beautifully, and paired with an unexpected Burnt Coral it simply exudes effortless cool. Springs could opt for the same chinos in Snow White or bold Victoria Blue.
Rather than looking sugary, Cashmere Rose is elegant and sophisticated when paired with deeper shades of pink and burgundy, and a soft white scarf keeps the whole look light and fresh.
