7 items, 7 outfits

Once upon a time, when I first started writing this blog, we didn't used to be able to create a complete capsule wardrobe using only Kettlewell pieces, so we had to send you elsewhere to fill in the gaps. I'm really thrilled that we've introduced so many more items over the years, and it's now possible to create a complete look knowing that each and every piece has been carefully selected to mix and match as well as compliment your skintone and colouring.

Rather than diving into a full capsule wardrobe, which can be somewhat overwhelming and not actually that useful, I've created a 'mini capsule' using seven Kettlewell garments to create seven outfits, for a full week of colour fun.

Remember, this is just a sample wardrobe. If your style is a little less classic, go for the Alexa Jacket rather than the Paris jacket, or you might prefer to swap the Ponte Trousers for skinny jeans. Or if you love the classic look, maybe a dress instead of the dressed-down Davina tee? What would your perfect seven items be?

This week's post uses colours from the Winter palette. Each week we will be choosing a different seasonal palette to illustrate our blog posts - watch out for yours!

Suggest to offer a promo: 15% on capsule wardrobe, for buying 5 items or more. Just a thought given that the capsule wardrobe concept is a very clever idea, but for a starter or someone recently "converted" to the colour theory, implies a £500+ investment. Jo, love your articles! keep blogging!

My perfect 7 items : (1) a roll neck top, (2) a cross over top to wear over it when it's cold

(3) a 3/4 sleeve top (eg the past ruche-front square neck top / current semi-scoop / Darcey tops) (4) a long-tie wrap (5) a bolero tie front cardigan (6) a 3 button front classic shaped jacket (7) any of your maxi skirts...These form my staple wardrobe in lots of colour combinations - today I'm wearing pine and claret ; last week dark teal with black and kingfisher or blackberry with purple magic ; other combos I wear are sapphire with fuchsia, chocolate or navy with mulberry, damson with chocolate, bluebell with sapphire or lobelia, black with raspberry...

not to mention some of your patterned skirts too...I end up with lots of compliments at work (I'm a GP) and recommend you frequently. I'm tall so only wear your maxi skirts, and pearshaped so tie front tops and classic jackets suit me best...hope there'll be many more colourful options to come :-)

Why are there so few trousers with pockets?
