Tropical colour combinations for Winters

Winter does tropical well. While some of the bold tones of the palette might appear too deep or cold at first glance, clever pairing with nature-inspired brights like bright sea blues and exotic flower pink makes the winter palette tropical-tastic.

Starting with the greens is a great tactic to embrace the tropics - even in their deepest and most jewel like form they still evoke a feel of nature alongside their drama. Add contrasting acid yellow and black for maximum impact. The bright azures of a Caribbean island resort, or the deeper sea blues of the ocean, work brilliantly paired with hot pink flower shades, or contrasted with light icy shades.

Remember, even when you're doing tropical shades, don't layer up too many colours, or you'll lose the impact of Winter's bright shades. Keep to colour blocks and contrast, even if you're drawing inspiration from tonal shades such as deep, electric and ice blue.
