Grey for Winters

Grey is easy for you. Is it made up of black and white, with as little to no interference from any taupe, brown, blue or yellow tones? Then it's probably right for you. Winters can wear every shade of grey between bright white and true black. Your worst greys will be the warm toned yellow or green based greys of the Autumn palette. Most greys will be improved for you by adding a pop of contrast such as one of your brightest colours in the form of a lipstick, camisole or scarf, to ensure that your Winter brightness isn't lost in a sea of tonal grey.

Grey makes a grey smart work look that's a little less terrifying (and unflattering) than black. Pair it with the deepest cassis for a seriously smart look, or add a pop of brighter colour like sapphire or scarlet for less formal days.

There's a reason 75% of loungewear comes in grey. Easy on the eye and, in the case of Kettlewell's amazing alpaca shawls, every bit as cosy as it looks. Add a splash of something bright to make sure you don't feel drab while you're relaxing.

Mole provides a more natural looking alternative to Winter's stark greys, and allows bold fuchsia to really pop.
